The first Developer meetup has come and gone and it was a great way to launch the developer centric track of the meetup. Zack Tollman from The Theme Foundry came up from Portland Oregon to give an amazing lab style presentation about using Backbone.js in WordPress theming.
Backbone.js has been included in WordPress since 3.5 but it still hasn’t gotten a lot of traction in theming yet. Zack did a great job of presenting some of the challenges theme developers need to confront when using it while also covering some of the basic components of a Backbone app.
We filmed Zack’s presentation in a google hangout which is now on youtube. The first seven minutes have some echo as we worked out the early kinks but the rest of the video sounds great.
If you would like to follow along, Zack has a github repo with his code here.
We would like to give a special thanks to our Developer track venue host BriteWeb for being an amazing host. They were friendly and accommodating.

Also I believe that mesothelioma is a unusual form of cancers that is normally found in individuals previously exposed to asbestos. Cancerous tissue form while in the mesothelium, which is a defensive lining that covers almost all of the body’s bodily organs. These cells generally form in the lining with the lungs, abdominal area, or the sac that encircles one’s heart. Thanks for expressing your ideas.
